You can apply to the Nordic Gender Equality Fund for activities starting in 2024. These activities must be completed within two years.

The projects can, for example, contribute new knowledge, and facilitate the exchange of experience and the establishment of Nordic networks.

Nordic Information on Gender (NIKK) is administering the fund on behalf of the Nordic Council of Ministers and deals with things like calls for applications, the assessment of projects, and follow up of results. You can apply via nikk.no during the application period.

Please note, the fund finances projects where at least three organisations from at least three different Nordic countries work together to promote gender equality. Projects which aim to solve problems in relation to gender equality, contribute new knowledge, facilitate the exchange of experience, or manifest and develop Nordic cohesion can apply for funding from the fund.  The Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland may constitute one country. One Baltic country may also be included in the application alongside two Nordic countries. Applications may include more than three countries.

This year, funding has been earmarked for projects that have a focus on gender equality in climate measures in the Arctic. As recommended by the Nordic Advisory Committee for the Arctic (NRKA), the Nordic Committee for Co-operation (NSK) has decided to co-fund activities by up to DKK 250,000 under the Nordic Leadership for Gender Equality in Climate Action programme.
