Shipments of green-listed waste

This project was carried out to provide a better picture of transboundary shipments of green-listed waste involving project countries Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. The readily available export data for 2014 are presented. The primary effort in the project was devoted to an Annex VII inspection, which was carried out as a desk study. 33 companies were asked to send all their Annex VIIs and related contracts from September-October 2015 to the competent authority of their country. Special focus was given to companies exporting waste beyond the EEA, as were the waste streams consisting of metal scrap, plastics, paper, and cable waste. In addition to the Annex VII inspection and the gathering of national statistics, the project included asking company representatives about their practices and opinions related to green-listed waste shipments, via a Web-based survey.
