The Nordic Co-operation at COP29

The 2024 UN Climate Change Conference will convene in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 11 to 22 November 2024. The Nordic Co-operation will be in attendance.

The Nordic Pavilion will be returning to COP in Baku, Azerbaijan from November 11th to 22nd, 2024. At the Nordic Pavilion we demonstrate the Nordic path to a climate neutral and socially sustainable future.

The Nordic Pavilion brings together voices from across our region and the rest of the world to carry the message that collaboration is key to secure long-term solutions to climate change and to push for bold and ambitious actions based on independent science.

14. November: Finance Day

Innovation climate finance and investment, scaling up efforts, improving access and Loss & Damage.

15. November: Energy Day

Renewable energy, efficiency, security of supply, Global Stocktake implementation and harnessing hydrogen’s potential.

16. November: Mitigation Day

Low-emission technologies, innovation in high-emission sectors, digitalization, job growthand Mitigation Work Program.

18. November: Food Systems Day

Food consumption, food security, land use, food waste, the blue economy, and the financial costs of inaction in food systems.

19. November: Health & Climate Smart Societies Day

Climate smart future visions, sustainable consumption, new welfare measures, clean air and circularity.

20. November: Adaptation & Resilience Day

The built environment, transport, human capital and education and capacity building in vulnarable communities.

21. November: Biodiversity Day

Nature restoration, oceans, the inclusion of indigenous people and local communities and the power of nature based solutions.
