Nordic Council of Ministers supports Nordic-Russian co-operation in journalism
The objective of the project is to increase contact between journalists in the two regions, as well as to improve the quality of journalism in and around Northwest Russia. The project supports the development of the independent press in Russia though the exchange of experiences relating to working methods, source criticism, social media and the role of the press in a democratic society.
This is the point of a two-year continuation of a 20-year collaboration between the Nordic Journalist Centre/Danish School of Media and Journalism and partners in Northwest Russia.
The project is being implemented in co-operation with Fojo Media Institute in Sweden, Barents Press International in Murmansk, Regional Press Institute in St. Petersburg, and the journalism programme at the University of Helsinki.
